Record Attendance at Kentucky Distilleries in 2014.

    BillBy BillJanuary 30, 2015Updated:May 15, 20151 Comment1 Min Read

The Kentucky Distillers Association reported yesterday that a record number of people visited and toured Kentucky Bourbon Trail and Craft Trail in 2014.  Over 725,000 people to be more precise.  I know that includes many of our readers.

That 725,000 number doesn’t even include Buffalo Trace, which is not a member of the Bourbon Trail.  That’s a lot of people.

We’d love to see stories and photos of your visits to the Kentucky Bourbon Trail or any other distillery in 2014.  Send them to bill@modernthirst.com!

I visited Buffalo Trace in ’14. Incredible doesn’t come close to explain it. I learned so much about the history of distilled spirits, which I never expected, and it was one of the most impressive elements of what I saw. This is highly recommended for anyone that wants to learn about bourbon. Like kids dream of going to Disney World, adults want to go to Buffalo Trace Distillery. A beautiful facility.

Then I stopped by at Willett, another gem. Just fantastic, highly recommended. Then stop in at Mammy’s Kitchen in Bardstown for a meal. What a great experience.
