    2015 Bourbon Classic

Scenes from Buffalo Trace, Photos By Ben Durant

    BillBy BillFebruary 26, 2015Updated:January 21, 2016No Comments2 Mins Read

Modern Thirst was extremely fortunate during last week’s Media Tour for the Bourbon Classic to have the services of Ben Durant, a professional photographer, Modern Thirst contributor, and retail liquor store proprietor.  Mother Nature did her best to put a damper on the tour, dumping from 8-12 inches of snow, more in some places, on Central Kentucky, blanketing many of the distilleries we visited.  The result was a busload of frozen-to-the-bone writers and photographers, but some amazing scenes of some of Kentucky’s most scenic and historic distilleries in a light in which they are rarely seen.  Here are some scenes Ben captured from Buffalo Trace in all it’s snow-laden wintery glory.

If there’s a photo you see that you absolutely must have, let us know.  While these are watermarked, we obviously have clean files suitable for printing.  We hope to formerly offer some of Ben’s photos for sale in the near future when he’s had time to work his magic on them.  Contact us at bill@modernthirst.com, and we’ll get in touch with Ben about pricing for prints or other options that may be available.  In the meantime, you can click on the photos in the gallery below for the full view.  Cheers!
