Today marks the 150th birthday of Beam Brands namesake, James B. “Jim” Beam.
Jim Beam is the largest bourbon producer in the world, and the Beam label is the highest selling bourbon as well. In addition to the Jim Beam label, the company also produces Knob Creek, Booker’s, Baker’s, Basil Hayden’s, Old Grand dad, Old Crow, Devil’s Cut, Old Overholt, Red Stag, Jacob’s Ghost, and every variation thereof.
The distillery is planning a party today beginning at 11:00 AM EST hosted by 7th & 8th generation Beam Distillers Fred and Freddie Noe, where a life size bronze statue of Jim Beam will be unveiled on site.
