You were previously tipped to off the Most Sought After Beers of 2015 here, and one of the brews that I was most interested in acquiring actually came to me.  It turns out that Phil Wymore, Brewmaster and co-founder of Perenial Artisan Ales, is a fan of ModernThirst.  Phil reached out to us and generously offered to send us some of their rare offerings, including the elusive 2014 Barrel Aged Abraxas which is aged in Rittenhouse Rye barrels for 12 months (see our Rittenhouse review here).  The specialties included Barrel Aged Mint Chocolate Stout, Sump, Anniversaria, and 4 happiness We are…

This is a photo of the lone 2014 KBS in the ModernThirst compound, It looks so lonely, we must find some friends for him. I trust that  all of the ModernThirst faithful are enjoying Repeal Week.  I’ve heard lots of good things from The Bourbon Society of Greater Cincinnati about their event on Monday, and continue to hear about great Repeal celebrations around the country.  Most of these celebrations seem to involve bourbon.  And why not? It is our Native Spirit. I was lucky enough to be invited to an exclusive Repeal Day event hosted by Pappy & Co and Rockfish Interactive at 1215 Wine Bar & Coffee Lab in downtown Cincinnati.  During this event, myself and other local ‘Influencers’ were treated to Van Winkle family…

Thanks to all veterans for your service.  We are able to do what we do because of you.  I have been holding onto this Semper Fi P.A which is brewed by Buzzards BayBrewing out of Westport, MA. for awhile.  I should have drank it last night for the Marines 239th birthday, but I will have it tonight as I toast all who have served.
